Pál Fried (June 16, 1893 in Hungary - March 6, 1976 in New York)
was a Hungarian artist known for his erotic paintings of dancers and nudes.
Fried emigrated to the United States in 1946 after World War II,
where he taught at the New York Academy of Art.
He does portraits of American celebrities such as Marilyn Monroe.
His work as a portrait painter brought him considerable financial success.
He became an American citizen in 1953.
