"Covered Terrine In Strasbourg Earthenware, Paul Hannong, Ver 1735-45."
Oval terrine with four scrolled legs, rounded sides, domed lid with fan mouldings, sausage handles, artichoke knob. Decor in shades of blue with floral lambrequins and foliage, artichoke in green. Marked S in the lid and F under the body of the terrine. Manufacture of Paul Hannong, around 1735-45. Eighteenth century. Length: 32cm; Width: 22 cm Height: 26 cm. A restored vertical crack on the body, lid glued in four pieces.
