Beautiful old painting late 18th / early 19th, pastel on canvas representing the portrait of a young man with reddish brown hair, pale face with pensive blue eyes, wearing a white collared jacket. Beautiful and moving expression of the gaze, the light skilfully diffused by the supposed lighting of a candle on the right edge of the cheek. Later Louis XVI style gilt wood frame, under glass. The vertical white traces on the jacket are simple reflections.
