IMPORTANT CARTEL in GREEN HORN rich ornamentation of gilded bronze decorated with foliage and trendy pheasant. Gilt bronze dial adorned with enamel plaques. Movement signed GORET in Paris on the plate and the dial, wire suspension. Box stamped A GOSSELIN on the bottom of the lamp. Louis XV period - Louis XVI, second half of the 18th century Total height: 112.5 cm - Console: L. 44 cm - D. 21.5 cm. Jean-Louis GORET received master in 1754 or André GORET received master in 1770. Both watchmakers in Paris in the second half of the 18th century. Antoine or Adrien-Antoine GOSSELIN, the first received master in 1752, the second his son received master in 1772. The son became master during his father's tenure. The stamp would rather be that of the son with the initial letter A in front of the name.
