Dubois Limoges, Early 20th Century. Decorative Porcelain Plate, Animated On-board Scene Decor

Beautiful decorative Limoges porcelain plate. The basin is decorated with a lively seaside scene. The wing is in oven blue and entirely decorated on the border with a large circular frieze made of inlay, double gold gilding and agate polishing. This charming porcelain was made by the excellent painter and decorator Dubois, active at the beginning of the 20th century, and author of numerous decorations, it bears his signature at the bottom of the decoration. It is presented on a wine-coloured velvet background, in a beautiful, richly carved frame in gilded stucco. A second plate that can match this one is for sale on our gallery, (see last photo).
