A decorative candleholder which is made of deer antlers mounted on a brass base. A roe deer trophy at the center, cased with brass. It is decorated with a wild boar pendant. The candleholder is executed in Germany ca. 1880.Antler furniture was one of the most popular novelties at the Great Exhibition of Industries of All Nations held in London in 1851. A new lifestyle trend was born and the European middle class ambitious has generated a fabulous boom. One of the first designers to be mentioned is the German horn carver and furniture maker HFC Rampendahl, who has won enthusiastic success at several world fairs with his antler furniture. In the process, we began to manufacture wooden furniture in series.
