Object description :

"Lxvi Period Clock End XVIII"
Very pretty portico clock in gilded bronze and white and black marble. The enamelled dial with Arabic numerals for the hours and minutes, painted with fine garlands of flowers and marked Rouvière à Paris (Jean Loui Rouvière, received master in 1781, active until 1812). It is surmounted by a pedestal vase containing roses, while below is a garland of flowers tied with a trophy. It is framed by two fluted columns rudentée surmounted by fruits, resting on pilasters decorated with trophies and volutes. The base decorated with plant scrolls, rests on four spinning feet. The pendulum in the shape of a radiant Apollo's head. Late eighteenth early nineteenth century.
