Ferenc Boldanyi, (1904-1990) Jeune Homme yellow scarf, signed and dated 1950 oil and ink and pastel on cardboard, in with its original frame Format 38cm by 28cm without the frame and 44cm by 34cm with. Bolmányi Francis, born Weisz (Levice, 1904. [1] June 28 - Budapest, 1990. July 14) Hungarian painter, sculptor and artist emeritus (1978) Hungarian painter Son of Sándor Weisz and Julianna Schwarcz. A graduate of Békéscsaba high school, he studied sculpture with József Róna and painting with Gusztáv Magyar-Mannheimer at the College of Fine Arts. He was kicked out of college because he couldn't afford the tuition. . He deepened his knowledge by studying the arts. During his study trips abroad, he worked in Yugoslavia, Italy, Munich and Vienna. After his return, he rented a studio in Szentendre in 1927 and the painters of Szentendre (Jenő Paizs Goebel, Lajos Vajda, Imre Ámos, Margit Anna, Dezső Korniss, Béla Czóbel) and in the company of others. Here, he painted the paintings of the Fényváros cycle of 1933, while in Nagymaros and then in Budapest the paintings of Mr. Robin and his company were made. From 1945 he ran a free art school in Nagymaros. From the 1950s, his painting was gradually characterized by non-figuration, an emotional force that wanted to express everything in color. He called his style "cosmic realism" himself. [2] He also made glass window designs from the 1960s, eg. for the House of Science and Technology in Kecskemét Main exhibitions National Salon (1928) Osijek (1930) Glastpalast (Vienna, 1932, 1933) Frankel Salon (group exhibition, 1935) Galerie Tamás (collection exhibition, 1936) Old Art Gallery (Exhibition organized by the Free Trade Union of Fine Arts, 1947) Luminous Adolf Hall (1959, 1966) Ernst Museum (exhibition of the collection, 1973).
