Special prize from the Ministry of the Environment on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the National Fine Arts Salon. 2006: Major retrospective of the artist's work at the Cité Internationale des Arts in Paris. (Biography attached). Work presented: Gouache painting on paper (52 X 33; 5 cm) "Abstract composition" signed lower right "H KATO" dated "1960". Original work executed in 1960. Framed work: Under UV anti-reflective glass. Sheet placed in a relief mount on a non-acid backing cardboard. Square baguette in bleached wood.
