"Bronze After Georges Gardet "in The Ruins" Foundry Barbedienne On Morello Marble Base"
Bronze subject representing a tiger on the lookout in front of a fô dog, this work entitled "in the ruins" is by Georges GARDET (1863 - 1939) and comes from the BARBEDIENNE foundries.

Subject in perfect condition, the bronze has a double patina, dark and bronze for the tiger, the terrace is very rich. The morello cherry marble base, also in perfect condition, is finished with brass strapping.

This bronze is reproduced on page 336 of the reference work on the BARBEDIENNE house by Florence Rionnet published by Arthena.
