Beautiful Transition Parisian commode / chest of drawers opening with 5 drawers, late 18th century, Louis XV / Louis XVI production circa 1770.

Beautiful model opening with 5 drawers, satinated mahogany veneered, finely chiseled bronze decoration, Breche d'Alep marble on top.
that type of "à la grecque" was invented by Oeben for the Marquise de Pompadour, made a real sucess and was copied by many talented cabinet makers, such as Schlichtig

Stamp of Jean Georges Schlichtig, famous parisian cabinet maker, master in 1765. He worked for the Queen Marie Antoinette.
In excellent condition ; varnish has been made in a traditional way.
