Object description :

"Original Drawing For "the Flea" By Hector Berlioz"
In Guy Mouminoux's Goutatout comic published in Pilote in the 70s, the hero spends his time cleaning the deck of a freighter by humming "A nice flea in a prince's house ..." The aria of Mephistopheles in "la Damnation Hector Berlioz's "Faust" was a great success at the time because of its satirical and political side.
Here we have an illustration in ink, pen and spit showing the flea in her beautiful court costume on an annoyed annoying, but not daring to say anything because she is the protege of the Prince in the background.
Illustration 23.8 X 15.4 cm in a line on a sheet 3 X 23.5 cm stretched by the edges on a framing cardboard.
Monogrammed MV in a round bottom right, circa 1900.
