"Pair Of Neoclassical Lamps In Porcelain And Bronze 19th Century"
Large pair of neoclassical lamps inspired by the art of ancient Greece, white porcelain and polychrome decorations. The body of the lamp is delicately adorned with cartridges representing Putti in the air, among ancient architectural motifs. The outlines of the motifs are decorated with matte gold. Equipped with gilded bronze handles representing lions (the lion is a representation of the protective power in ancient Greece) and resting on gilt bronze bases decorated with palmettes and Greeks faces. This pair of lamps was designed to receive electricity with the utmost care and they are topped by lighting globes made out of engraved glass.
