Excellent cartel applique Louis XV style of the nineteenth century following the drawing of a cartel Philippe Caffieri (1714-1772, sculptor-carver of the King since 1755) showing a chariot between clouds pulled by two pigeons and led by a cupid, symbolizing the triumph of love. Topped by a star (stamped BR 48).
Enamelled dial with Roman numerals. Gilt bronze excellently chiseled and of beautiful color.

Beautiful object of the Napoleon III era in very good condition.
