"Very Large Orientalist Vase Attributed To Friedrich Goldscheider (1845-1897)"
Rare and spectacular polychrome terracotta vase decorated with high relief inspired by ancient Egypt, centered belly of a group of Cleopatra and his servant accompanied by an ibis, neck decorated with scenes of war with a chariot, deities, court scenes and hieroglyphs. The quality of manufacture, the technique of the polychrome as well as the exceptional size of this vase is undoubtedly from the productions of Friedrich Goldscheider. The colors of Goldscheider allow authentication in the absence of even a trademark. Small repair under the vase.

Friedrich Goldscheider and his successors were by far the most important publishers of terracotta art, both by the quality and quantity of their production.
