Object description :

"Lieutenant Colonel Portrait Of Major Staff Early Nineteenth"
Important painting, oil on canvas depicting the portrait of a lieutenant colonel of staff decorated with the order of Saint-Louis, the decoration of the lily with the ribbon of Loiret or Moselle, and the star of Chevalier de the Legion of Honour. He wears in his right ear a ring, a coquetry, as the Duke de la Rochefoucaud and the King of Bavaria, Maximilian Joseph, carried at the same time. We can date this painting in the first part of the nineteenth century, between 1814 and 1830. This canvas, just refreshed and revarnished, is very good condition. Very beautiful wooden frame and gilded stucco, in its original state, some slight lacks not altering the quality of the frame. Dimensions of the painting 65x53 cm. Overall dimensions, with frame, 90x81 cm. Dimensions at sight of the painting (dansl'ovale), 59x50 cm. Unreadable old inscriptions are on the back, on the chassis.
