"Large Arched Stamped Cardboard Manufacturer Gervais Durand Nineteenth Time"
French work, XIXth Superb large filing cabinet in marquetry and ormolu. Bears the stamp of the master cabinetmaker Gervais Durand (1839-1870) on the amounts. Furniture consist of six cartonniers drawers on top with leather cover, and 21 oak drawers inside Hungary with leather front. hectic sides diamond decorations in marquetry, gilded ornamentation and engraved bronze. Topped with a marble breccia of Aleppo, low cross adorned with a large ormolu chiseled rock. DURAND GERVAIS (1839-1870) was a French master cabinetmaker. Born in Paris on 31 July 1839 he worked in 1870 at 12 rue de la Cherry Orchard. Then 23 Beautreillis street from 1878 and 62 st Antoine Street 1900 in the former Hotel de Sully. The house then took the company name Durand et Fils, he participated in the 1889 World Exposition where he won a silver medal. According to A ratio.
