Oil on canvas representing the Cathedral of Maguelone (Hérault) signed lower left JL Asté. Born in L'isle-Jourdain Asté was a pupil of Jean Paul Laurens, from whom he was inspired in his first period, then became more free in his Southern landscapes where a style close to Henri Martin imposed itself with its post-impressionist touch. Period first quarter of the 20th century.
