Vintage Scandinavian Design: Rosewood Dining Table, Integrated Extension

Very nice high quality rosewood dining table. Round in shape, it is designed to accommodate 4 guests, but it has a 42 cm extension which allows it to be transformed very quickly into an oval table for 6 people. Being integrated and folded under the top, the extension does not pose any storage problem and it is very easy to handle by a single person. No discoloration of the top compared to the extension is to be reported. Top, extension and crosspieces in rosewood veneer. The frame of the top and the extension is in solid rosewood, as well as the 4 legs, of square section and tapered. Some details showing the care taken in the manufacture of this table: the quality of the rosewood used, the discretion of the framing of the top, the integrated extension system, the crosspieces flared in their middle to facilitate the passage of the legs, their assembly in a square to emphasize the roundness of the top and finally, the fuselage and the rounded edges of the feet. No maker's mark spotted, but it is surely a vintage Scandinavian design from the 60s. In very good general condition, I just point out a very small missing and a small dent in the veneer of the top, as well as some scratches from use, barely noticeable after our restoration.
