"Painting Of A Trotting Horse And Its Rider By Paul Le More"
Superb portrait of a racehorse, with his jockey, signed Paul Le More. In the middle of a trotting race on a racecourse, we find the finesse and quality of the work of Paul Le More, a horse painter often commissioned by horse owners to paint portraits (with or without a rider) of their horses. I have not yet identified the stable but I am continuing my research: the name and pedigree of the horse sometimes appears in Le More's paintings but this is not the case here. Painting in perfect condition, not relined, with its original frame. The painting restorers who worked on it have just carried out a complete cleaning of the canvas (painting hung on the same wall for more than 50 years, the dust was from the period...) and some light touch-ups exclusively in the sky which lacked a little material. Painting dating from the end of the 19th or the beginning of the 20th century, Paul Le More having been active from 1863 to 1914. Dimensions of the view: 79.5 cm x 63.5 cm
