Object description :

"Unusual Gargoyle From The Grand Tour In Painted Terracotta, Naples Early 19th Century"
This is probably Arion riding a dolphin. In the taste of the great tower, this gargoyle represents a unique object according to Egyptian art. Colored and weathered in archaeological condition. Italy, probably Naples early 19th century. For more understanding: A thermoluminescent study is not available and could, in our opinion, reserve a surprise. The structure of terracotta is porous and open-pore, so the object could be much older.
