"Russian Chandelier In Silvered Bronze, Early 19th Century"
Six-light chandelier with neoclassical decorations. Rich baguette and crystal pendants, chains, and drops all around. Curved quadruple stem with a quadruple illuminated crown. Silvered bronze is rare and unusual in Northern European neoclassical chandeliers. The structure, decorated with braids and foliage, is characteristic of the early 19th century. The inlaid colored glass plate, here cobalt-colored, is also typical.
