Gilded Bronze Casket By Tahan In Paris

Very beautiful gilt bronze jewelry box animated on all four sides and decorated with miniatures.
On the top, a large miniature representing a throw of flowers is surrounded at the four corners by a stylized pleat.
The whole is placed on a first dish with a molded edge, then a field and a second edge forming the lid. The pleat is repeated on the qutare angles and is fixed on a molding forming the base. It separates the four sides which are decorated with two miniatures in front and behind and one on each width. They are painted with bouquets of different flowers. The box rests on four rounded feet.
The top, the sides, the pleats and the frames of the miniatures are chiselled with foliage scrolls and flowers.
