Rosamonde Aubrey-Plisson (20th century): “Avallon”, gouache 26 X 20 cm mounted by a marie-louise (stained) in a frame with a gilt border 50 X 40 cm. Signed R. Plisson and dated 1934 in pencil and located Avallon lower right. The gouache technique is perfectly suited to this representation of the medieval city of Avallon in Yonne, in Burgundy-Franche-Conté.
