Large fireplace mirror in wood gilded with fine gold, mercury glass with glittery tan. Beautiful moldings with shells and openwork in the Regency Louis XV style, the pediment decorated with a couple of putti and falling flowers. 19th century period, around 1850-60. Our mirror is a very large format, which lends itself well to natural use above the fireplace, or placed on the floor. Beautiful frame with bold and rich moldings. Beautiful, large piece, top quality and very decorative. A very large format like this and in such a fresh state is very rare. Everything is original: gold leaf gilding in good condition, cleaned by our gilder, spotless mercury glass, original parquet flooring at the back. Height: 205cm Width: 128cm
