The sculpture probably depicts a forest nymph playing the aulos (Greek flute), with lizards moving towards her. One of them is a naked woman who is held in her hand. Armand Pierre Louis Quénard (1865 Maine-et-Loire - 1925): French sculptor, student of Vimont and Hiolin. His works can be found, among others, in the Château-Thierry museum or the Tourcoing museum. France, late 19th century. Signed "Armd Quénard". Height 44 cm, width 27 cm, depth 15 cm. Good state of conservation, visible scratches of the patina, curved flute. Free delivery in EU. !
