Secretaires Charles X French in precious exotic wood with maple inlay.

The upper part is composed of a calatoia concealing an open area conceived as an arched letterbox compartment and an underlying part of ink compartments.

The calatoio top is covered with a layer of leather edged with an elegant fire frieze.

The lower body, much simpler in its construction, consists of two feet ending in a solid base.

The interiors are in maple with eyelets and still retains the original keys and locks of the time, the top can be reclined and is easily used as a storage compartment.

 Provenance: France (1820/30).

General conditions: Not restored but in excellent condition.
