Rare decoration for this Aubusson tapestry after a cartoon by Jean Pillement (1728-1808), decorator and official painter of Marie-Antoinette. This tapestry with its luxuriant exotic decoration of palm tree, parrot and wader, of an oriental temple, is remarkable for the freshness of its colors. It is lined and in very good general condition.
