Viardot Large Japanese-style Shop Window
A superb piece of furniture comprising, at the top, a circular display case resting on a large, finely carved wooden dragon; in the lower section, a display case and shelves, two drawers (one with a spring-loaded secret compartment), a bronze dragon climbing the upright supporting the shelves, and at the top, a bronze dragon emerging from a niche. The interiors of the display cases are lined with red velvet. Note some losses to the applied bone motifs.
