Large embossed and chiseled brass alm dish, depicting horseman St George slaying the dragon.
Germany or Flanders, late 16th century
Very nice used patina, polished and on the front and dark brown oxydation on backside.
Condition: lack of brass not very visible on the front (see photos), on the edge, folded around a thick metal wire surrounding the outline of the dish. However, these defects do not affect the legibility of the alm dish.
Beautiful Haute Epoque piece of folk art.
