"Dayak Protection Amulet, Borneo. Indonesia"
Small anthropomorphic sculpture, miniaturized to the extreme. The character seems to be walking, arms along the body. This wooden amulet is characteristic of the Dayak art of Borneo: to protect themselves from black magic, illness or malevolent spirits, these little characters are sometimes attached to baby carriers or more often suspended as a necklace.
