Surgery: Case By Mathieu In Paris

Folding traveling surgeon's case with 3 flaps in leather and interior in pink silk and red velvet; this kit is complete with as many instruments as loop housings; all the tortoiseshell folding instruments (8) are signed by Mathieu, the most famous Parisian medical instrument manufacturer of his time (circa 1860) and in perfect condition with functional locking except for one scalpel whose tortoiseshell is incomplete (see photo);
the 3 tortoiseshell lancets from Charrière (1) and Sirhenry (2) can be stored inside an inside pocket; the interchangeable blade razor is from Micheron in Chalon sur Saône.
Beautiful surgeon's kit, in good condition, despite some traces of wear and a few stains that do not harm the integrity of the whole,
With its pretty silvered and decorated lock.
