Object description :

"Henri Ardant &co (1858-1881), Very Rare Painted Porcelain Biscuit Vase, XIXth Century"
Superb and very rare large vase on pedestal from the Henri Ardant &co factory (1858-1881) in biscuit porcelain. On a classic amphora-like shape, winged victories have been added to stylize the vase's grips. Very fine porcelain biscuit (translucent at the neck). The white of the biscuit has been enhanced by a hand-painted decoration of a branch of roses on one side and doves in the middle of a bouquet with torch and quiver on the other. Victories are underlined with a blue line. Signature encrusted in the paste below. Very good house condition, to report just a tiny shock to the collar which has been plastered over. Napoleon III period around 1860-1870. Delivery 30 euros in France, 80 euros in the EU and 150 euros rest of the world.
