Large Oil Lamp "psyche A l'Aiguiere" After Percier Et Fontaine, Paris 1810
The model also at PP THOMIRE (Pierre Philippe Thomire, 1751 Paris 1843) in collaboration with DUTERME & CIE, Paris around 1805/10. Matte and shiny gilt bronze. Psyche kneeling on an oil lamp with patinated feet, emptying a carafe, on a stepped plinth. The inkwell offered here is inspired by a pair of andirons made by Thomire & Duterme in 1809 for the Château de Fontainebleau (inventory number F 943 C).
