René Louis Péan, born in Paris in 1875 and died in Ermont (Val-d'Oise) in 1955, was a french painter, poster designer and illustrator.
A pupil of Jules Chéret, he created between 1895 and 1905 in the Chaix workshop many posters for the world of entertainment and leisure.
He exhibited at the Salon des Indépendants from 1921 to 1949, at the Salon de Lyon from 1921 to 1925, at the Salon d'Hiver from 1944 to 1946.
He exhibited at the Galerie Georges Petit in 1909 and 1933.
