Louis Koyongonda (Stanleyville/Basoko 1918-Kinshasa 1980).
African painter. He was a member around 1948 of the Stanley-Pool school under the direction of Laurent Moonens. His work is highly appreciated; He exhibited in Rome in 1950. After the departure of L.Moonens, he became the favorite painter of patron Maurice Alhadeff. He painted landscapes, market scenes and excellent expressive portraits.
