"Stock Exchange Enamel Plate - Nicolas Laudin Limoges"
Enameled domed copper plate representing a portrait of a man with gilt highlights of radiant sun and blue drapery. This plate was originally sewn on a chaplain using small holes around the edge, part of enamel in relief in its upper part with two holes to let the drawstring pass through. Presence of the NL monogram in its lower part for Nicolas Laudin, Limoges end of the XVII th Century beginning of the XVIII th Century. This plate is in superb condition, lacks slight chips of enamel and micro small cracks around the fixing holes. This plate has not been restored.
