Description
A complete set of the three-volume book “Veteris et Recentioris Philosophiae Dogmata” in Latin by Joannis Dunsii Scoti, printed in Venice in 1768 by Thoman Bettinelli.
Each of the three volumes details and describes a specific scientific, astronomical or philosophical field. Specifically they deals with logic, mathematics, geometry, general physics and astrophysics.
Highly interesting is the fact that it contains graphics of orbital Geocentric model (Earth as the center of the solar system), in one of the foldout engravings.
The volumes are bound in rigid vellum, and each contain tables and wood-carve illustrations explaining and shedding light on different aspects of the teachings including several foldout pages.
Volume I – 684 pages
Volume II – 647 pages, 10 foldout engravings.
Volume III – 732 Pages, 12 foldout engravings.
The insides of the covers carry handwritten marks and signatures.
Condition
The books are in outstanding good condition especially considering their agethe velum has nos significant damge and titles written on the outside can still be seen. No missing pages.
