"English Painting, Seascape With Large Vessel – Signed G. Valentin Thomas"
Painting of English school depicting a seascape with a large vessel at the center and people at work. Executed within the first half of the 19th century.
At the lower right a signature “A. Valentin Thomas” can be identified.
The condition is good; it shows some small old restorations and the canvas has been relined.
The carved and gilded wooden frame was made in the early years of the 20th century and features a green fabric passe-partout.
