Very beautiful oil on canvas by the Marseille painter François Marius Berthet which represents a church at dusk. It is most certainly the Church of Saint-Vincent de Roquevaire in the Bouches-du-Rhône, which the artist frequented a lot. A beautiful palette of muted colors tinted with ocher to represent the end of a beautiful winter day. The painter who painted Marseille and its surroundings a lot is listed in the Alauzen Dictionary, directory of Provençal painters. Dimensions: 46 cm x 55 cm (format 10 F) Very good condition.
