Albert Matignon - The Wonderful Clouds - Landscape Study
A native of Sarthe, Matignon enjoyed a brilliant career in Parispainter, responding to both public and private commissions.and private commissions. His paintings are always eagerly awaitedat the Salon des Artistes français, where he exhibited from 1884 until his death.
He exhibited in Brussels, Copenhagen, Geneva, London, NewYork, Tokyo and in the capitals of South America,
The last part of his career was spent in the United States.
During the latter part of his life, he multiplied his landscapes of LeCrotoy and the Bay of the Somme.
