Julius von Kreyfelt (1863, Düsseldorf-1947, Kleinsassen).
German painter. He studied at the Düsseldorf Academy of Fine Arts from 1879 to 1886. In 1887, he moved to Kleinsassen. With Julius von Kreyfelt, painting experienced a new boom, as he was the most famous Rhön painter and the central figure in the picturesque village of Kleinsassen. He took part in the Berlin Exhibition in 1909. The First World War brought this flourishing artistic life to an abrupt end. From 1919 to 1924, Kreyfelt directed the Rhön Club's Milseburghütte.
