FRANÇOIS JOSEPH-CHARLES born in 1851 in Saint-Josse-ten-Noode – died in 1940 in Brussels.
Belgian painter of landscapes and seascapes. He exhibited in 1887 at the circle L'Essor. He was a member of the Salon of French Artists in Paris from 1913, the year he received a silver medal. Between 1905 and 1934, he exhibited regularly at the Cercle des Beaux-Arts in Liège.
Impressionist painter, he painted with predilection the forest of Soignes, the heather of Campine, the surroundings of Spa, the beaches of the North.
Works in the Museums of Brussels and Charleroi.
