Clock In Gilt Bronze, Louis XVI Style, Napoleon III Period - Mid-19th Century

Small half-round clock all in bronze, surmounted by a winged angel begging for silence by raising his index finger in front of his mouth. Naked and chubby, the cherub smiled subtly, gazing down. It rests on the clock, adorned with a large Louis XVI knot and garlands of flowers decorating large grooves. In the center, a dial with a white background is decorated with blue Roman numerals and adorned with finely chiselled hands. Around, a small garland of pearls highlights this dial in perfect condition. The lower part of the plinth features carvings of laurel leaf garlands and elegant geometric friezes. The set rests on three refined top legs. Dazzling and beautifully sculpted, this clock will bring a touch of elegance to your decoration with the refinement of its ornamentation.
