"Paulette Le Corre (1898-?) Breton Headdress"
Original watercolor having been used for the edition of a series of postcards showing the headdresses and traditional costumes of Brittany by Paullette Le Corre. Size 14x9.5cm. Signed Paulette, annotated Douarnenez and below "Fille de mon pays" in French and Breton Paulette Le Corre who signed Paulette was a very talented illustrator from Pont Labbé. She made several series of cards representing Breton women between 1915 and 1919 before leaving for the USA (marriage with an American soldier, Mr Lydon). Most of his cards can be seen at the Postcard Museum (see the Cartolys site).
