Empire Period Clock
Important allegorical clock on the theme of Love in gilded and chiseled bronze. A woman dressed in the antique is standing near a terminal containing the enamel dial. The dial with its enamelled bezel is topped with a speech bubble with the inscription “from near to far”. The terminal presents a hand of faith in bas-relief. Quadrangular base with bas-relief decoration of Venus and Cupid, resting on four feet with windings and palmettes. Wire suspension. Movement completely overhauled and guaranteed. Around 1810.
