Very beautiful Mitsogho reliquary statue from Gabon height 62cm Polychrome hard wood with patina of use Nails planted in the belly at the navel Folded arms holding feathers loincloth in fibers and fabrics I think the legs are more recent than the rest of the statue scarifications on the torso The cult statues Tsogho / Mitsogho "full-length" called Géhonga, intervene in certain practices of Bwiti, other than the worship of the ancestors (cf Perrois - the Spirit of the forest - Somogy page 117)
