Edmond Eugène VALTON (1836-1910) is a French painter and designer.

Edmond Valton was one of the founders with Hector Guimard, Georges Seurat, Paul Signac, Henri-Edmond Cross, of the Salon des Indépendants in 1884, in reaction to the conservatism of the official Paris Salon.

, he chaired the Société des Artistes Indépendants from 1889 to 1908.

Eugène Valton likes to represent common people in the city as in the country, scenes of everyday life.

His works can be found in the Musée d'Orsay and the National Gallery in Washington.
