Bust of Jeanne Becu, favorite of LXV under the name of Comtesse Du Barry. The latter had her bust made by Auguste PAJOU in 1772 who exhibited it at the Salon in 1773 and which aroused great interest. This bust is found executed in different materials, terracotta, marble, bronze. Most made in the 19th century Our bust is made in soft paste (late 18th century) which is rare and the pedestal, posterior, is in hard porcelain painted in faux marble (19th century). Our bust having been resocated in the 19th century
