Artist: Michel Victor Acier (1736-1799)
MEISSEN, Group of gardeners near an apple tree, 1st choice, M.V. Acier, painted in colors and gold.
Three figures stand under an apple tree on a stylized oval rocaille base, bordered with oak leaves. A gardener is seated, her apron decorated with flowers; to her left, a basket of flowers is placed on the ground. To the right of the tree, a young girl is picking apples; to the left, a man with a pocket watch.
Dimensions: height 27 cm,
crossed swords mark, model D94, hallmark no. 130 D,
one chipped leaf.

Michel Victor Acier (1736-1799), French sculptor who became the Royal Master Model Maker of Saxony at the Meissen Porcelain Manufactory in 1762. He is known for creating numerous porcelain figurines, often in the Rococo and Watteau styles, and for becoming the sole artistic director of Meissen in 1775.
